Summary of Music Industry in 2012

There are certain things I remember from last year in AS when we learnt about the music industry such as;

- Apple - the products, such as ; iPhones, iPods, iTunes, etc.
- Souljazz - a independent music label which contained things which would appeal to the audience
- illegal downloading - such as limewire, napster, piratebay
- Beats by Dre, which not only sold millions but it gained more popularity.
- independent non- mainstream artists such as JME, Main Attraktionz, etc, who find other means of gaining money
- The big 3; Universal, Sony, Warner brothers.
- Digipaks; such as Kanye West and Katy Perry
- Spotify, online streaming music application
