state of the music industry in 2012

Since learning about the state of the music industry last year in AS there are certain things that i remember such as:

. The big 3- Universal, Sony, Warner brothers.

. Spotify- online streaming music application

. Digipaks- Kanye west and Katy Perry

. Apple- the company selling products such as Ipods, Iphones, Mac computers lap tops and Itunes

. Beats by DR DRE which are very well know and famous head phones which sold millions

. Illegal downloading sites such as, napster and limewire

. Independant music labels

.  independant non main stream artists
