I really enjoyed this students music video. This song was based on Calvin Harris's song, Feel So Close. This music video consisted of Andrew Goodwins theory of Amplification/Disjuncture; Amplification because it might have brought new meaning to the lyrics - young people following their dreams of being a dancer, aritst, etc; Disjuncture because it was called "Feel So Close" yet it had no connotations of romance or any type of relationship.
The music video really fits in well with the song. Calvin Harris is known for producing club/dance/electro pop songs and this looks very electro pop. The artist within the video was dancing and jumping to reflect the fun element of the song and to the beat. Also one of the actresses was painting with the music, I really enjoyed it especially when she was painting "on the camera lens". This really gave me a wake up call because I could see how much preparation they went in to with the choreography, artists, note sheets and skateboarders. I now know to plan everything from choreography to props to camera edits.
