Reflecting back on the AS year; Technical skills developed

At the end of the AS course, I believe I have successfully learnt most valuable skills that are used in the media process. These which included;

  • planning and organising for your media product to ensure easy and flow when you are recording/editing your media product (storyboarding/moodboards)
  • using the camera properly (even though I missed that lesson)
  • using Final Cut Pro to edit our products
  • converting videos so that they can be seen on the blogs
  • using different means of technology to present evaluation, pictures and text (Photobucket, Vimeo, etc.)
  • how to use the sound editing program effectively
I would like to think that media helped me build my confidence up and to work in a team effectively and efficiently, even with minor setbacks. All these skills will progress to help me during my A2 course, as it requires more editing technical skill rather than camera skill. I am looking forward to be doing individual work as personally, I think I work better as independently. Having said that, I like helping people in my group to ensure that they attain the grade they want.
