Ancillary; Idea 3

Original picture

Step 1. Use the pen tool, make your shape.
Go to the "Paths" tab and clock stroke path.

Step 2. I made sure to have my colour ready beforehand.
I selected the brush selection and clicked ok, which
produced a pink glow.

Step 3. I played around with effect until
I found what I wanted. Experimenting is key with
Photoshop; You never know what the result is.

Step 4. I then used the eraser tool
to take away bits. This is my final product.

Ancillary; Ideas 2.

I would use something like this for my inside panel but with different words or maybe lyrics from our artists single. I found this image when I researched pop art. John Lennon was known for peace and was an inspiration; the words in this picture show this. Rihanna did something similar in her new album cover, Unapologetic, which includes words which represent her personality or her as an artist, and songs from the album (e.g. Diamonds).
She also has #NAVY on there aswell; Navy is what she calls her fans, because she describes them as a strong fanbase and it reminds her of her days in the army. The hashtag is used in the social networking site Twitter, where if you click it, you will see what other people are saying about the chosen topic which is tagged. This is a good way of expanding her fanbase. Her record label (Roc Nation) is written there aswell with a logo. The actual image of Rihanna is of her nude; this could represent her being "stripped" off of everything and is left with just her - so in other words, this album is of her true self, what's in the inside. Rihanna used one of the songs in the album to release a personal statement, which was of her reuniting with her ex boyfriend, Chris Brown. This sparked some controversy but as her song says, "ain't nobodys business".

Ancillary; CD ideas and influences.

I am in the midst of producing my CD cover, and I realised the direction in which I'm heading. My theme of the CD cover is pop art. Researching on pop art to get more inspiration, I found pictures that would work well with my ancillary;

This is a perfect example; our artist was heavily influenced by Marilyn Monroe by style. My group mimicked her look and her "spoilt" personality. I like the clear, defined picture, even if the colours are manipulated you can distinctively tell who this is.
